Jia Pingxi was born in Shandong Penglai in 1935. He graduated from the Traditional Chinese Painting Department, (specializing in flower and bird painting) of the Luxun Art Institute. He is an academic of the China Artist Association, a member of Chinese Painting Society, Chairman of Heilongjiang Province Flowers and Birds Painting Research, and lifelong painter of Heilongjiang Artists Association.
His works have joined the Art Exhibitions both home and abroad many times, and he has won gold, silver, copper and other awards many times. He has held personal art exhibitions and academic seminars in Chinese Art Galleries including Heilongjiang, Shanxi, Jiangsu and France. He published 鈥淛ia Pingxi Painting Collection鈥?and more than 10 kinds of books.
