The Hafei Auto Company has unveiled its first electric car model which will be soon put into batch production.Based on the Saibao, a gas-powered model, the new electric car would have a cruising range of 150 to 220 kilometers and a recharging time of less than six hours from 220-volt service.
It will cost 7.5 Yuan of electricity for cruising 100 kilometers, while the gas-powered model costs 48 Yuan of gasoline for the same range.
The new model will roll off the production line in January next year.
